Ok, I admit, I took these on July 30 but it's close enough, right? And yes, there are more than one but I took my Girl Scout Troop to the Zoo and had so many nice ones I wanted to share a few. All of these were taken with a Canon Powershot SD1200 IS. The animals are all taken through glass enclosures.




This is a cougar....or puma.....or mountain lion or whatever you call it where you live! We have cougars here. It was VERY hot and the animals were all resting quietly. :)

Ok this one isn't the best quality but I liked the composition with the Scouts in front looking at (and taking pictures of) the seal.

The Scouts make beads out of recycled newspaper and then made those beads into bracelets and anklets. Pretty neat, huh?

This is a cute little poison dart frog. I just love these guys!!!

I had tons more from this trip but I WAS only supposed to post one!

I have had a lifelong love of photography. Strictly amateur, believe me!! I wish I had more time to play around with my camera. This blog is for me to share what I capture. I'm going to start with a "31 Photos in 31 Days" Project. I will attempt to take a picture every day in August and post it here to share. I'm already behind and I'll admit that I did NOT take a pic on 8/1 but I will post a pic from a day close to that. I also may not be able to post them daily but I will get them all up.
